Sapphic Market started as a way for the Founder, to confront the reality that she didn't want to live anymore. To face her pain, Annie started creating, and therefore creating a life worth living. As she explored various art at shows, Annie identified a void in the representation of WLW (Women-Loving-Women) art, realizing the pervasive influence of the male gaze on creative expression.

 

Determined to create a safe space for queer women to appreciate fine art, Sapphic Market was founded as a haven for WLW art, blending the sophistication of a gallery with the comfort of a lounge. Our venue, Nurture, embodies elegance without the pressure – a space where you can not only discover exquisite art for your home but also connect with a thriving queer community.

 

Recognizing the global demand for inclusive art spaces, Sapphic Market expanded its reach through a carefully curated online platform. Now, WLW artists can showcase their work internationally while enjoying the support of a dedicated community.
